Since foundation, Sport, who had born as a football club, get used to train and play matches at "Campina do Derby". Sport played there until 1917, when former Pernambuco League was founded and organized championship's schedule with order. Matches hosts by the League took place at "Aflitos Field", where currently locates "Aflitos Stadium", Náutico's property.

Hibernon Wanderley, a revolutionary "red-and-black", promised an own field for Sport, offering comfort to supporters and players. President Manuel Guimarães Junior send Hibernon and Carlos Medici to solve the matter. Both convinced widow Joana Mendes Coelho, owner of a marvelous ground at Malaquias Avenue, and there was "Sport Field" for 20 years.

But supporters missed terraces, to give them the promised comfort, and put Sport ahead of the other clubs. So, after many sessions of dealing and daring, managers bought Fluminense Football Club's iron-made terrace. It sized 74 meters/lenght; 40 meters/width and 5 meters/height. The terrace could host more than 2.000 supporters, and had bars, buffet, ward, reading room, where managers received guests, and a large dressing room for players. Hibernon keep the promise. The inauguration of the field and terraces was on January, 1919, against Botafogo Rio de Janeiro. They played two matches against Sport and won both.
